Patients have trusted the specialists at Cedar Valley Gastroenterology since 1989 for the treatment of digestive disorders and diseases. With a staff of nearly 50 professionals — including 3 gastroenterologists, 2 nurse practitioners, and multiple registered nurses, patient care coordinators, endoscopy technicians and other dedicated professionals — we have more than 12,000 office visits and perform more than 7,400 procedures each year! Patients commonly see us when irregular digestive symptoms arise including heartburn, constipation, abdominal pain, ulcers, or other stomach or bowel-related issues. Depending on the diagnosis and the patient, we develop a treatment plan that may include medication, therapies or sometimes surgeries. Common procedures performed include colonoscopies, endoscopies, and treatments for gallstones, reflux, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), Crohn’s, hemorrhoids, and Hepatitis C.

We collaborate with the prestigious Press Ganey institute to continually work toward improving the patient experience, and consistently rank highly. Our endoscopic quality is also at the forefront. GI QUIC is a national registry that allows reporting on quality indicators for colonoscopies, and Cedar Valley Gastroenterology/Allen Hospital Digestive Health Center consistently reports above national standards in cecal intubation, cecal photograph, withdrawal times, adenoma detection rates, and prep quality.
